For current UConn students seeking admission to the College of Engineering, please visit the Program Plan Change Application website to begin the process for admission.
Prospective UConn students must submit a major appeal through their admission portal. UConn Admissions reviews these requests.
The application must be completed in order to:
- Apply to the College of Engineering from a different school or college within the University.
- Apply to change your current Engineering major to a different one within the College of Engineering
- Apply for admission to the Management and Engineering for Manufacturing (MEM) Program (dually conferred degree of the College of Engineering and School of Business).
IMPORTANT: Please visit the internal process for becoming an engineering student page for application criteria and information. The criteria is effective for all major change requests (current UConn students and current Engineering students) for the Spring 2026 review cycle and beyond. The application deadline for Spring 2026 admission consideration is December 25, 2025.
