Scholarships are an opportunity to support students through their education at UConn. Below you will find information on applying to scholarships through the College of Engineering, as well as a variety of other outside opportunities to receive financial support.
Our Scholarship Process
The College of Engineering takes a “one-to-many” approach to applying for a scholarship. Students fill out ONE detailed online application that supplies us with information used to match you to the many funds we have available to award to qualified undergraduate students.
The continuing student’s application form opens in late October each year and closes a few months later in January. The scholarship application forms for incoming freshman open in the late spring/early summer – it varies by funding source. All OPEN forms will appear on the CommunityForce (scholarship funding app) landing page.
ALL POSTED DEADLINES ARE FIRM. Applicants are prevented, by the deadlines we set in the software, from uploading late submissions. Out of fairness to all applicants, unsubmitted applications will NOT be reviewed.
To complete and upload an application for College of Engineering undergraduate scholarship funding, students use this software: CommunityForce. For scholarships, grants and loans managed by the university, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid Services.
- You will only need to create one CommunityForce account from the application website.
- Each year you will be asked to update any information that has changed in your profile.
- In the application, you will supply general information, and a personal statement – focusing on what you want to highlight about yourself that might be of interest to a donor.
- NOTE: In the continuing students’ application applicants will also upload a current resume.
